Cybersecurity by design
Building auth, data boundaries, secrets and threat assumptions into the product architecture—not bolting them on after launch.
Definition
Cybersecurity by design means security decisions are part of architecture and delivery from day one: identity, access, secrets, logging, dependency hygiene and CI gates. Retrofitting security after users and data exist is slower, riskier and more expensive.
Why it matters
- Late security work freezes features and burns trust
- CI security gates catch issues before production incidents
- Buyers and partners increasingly ask for a baseline, not a slide

Questions buyers ask
Does by design mean a full audit?
Not always. It means the architecture and pipeline include a security baseline. A diagnostic or assessment can still surface gaps that need deeper review.
